Aralia were very proud of their latest recruit, Fiona Daly, when she was presented with an award by the Landscape Institute on 21st November. Fiona, who joined Aralia in July as an Assistant Landscape Architect, graduated from Writtle College this summer with a Bsc in Landscape Architecture. She headed back to Writtle to be presented with her award by the Landscape Institute East of England for the best landscape planting design or thesis by an undergraduate student.

Fiona received her award from the Chair of the Landscape Institute East of England branch, Dawn Purves, during the prize giving ceremony that concluded an informative day of talks and seminars given at Writtle College. A whole host of industry professionals including Grant Associates, Alys Fowler and Thomas Hoblyn were present, along with Writtle college staff and students; to exchange and celebrate industry knowledge and experience. Fiona’s award winning design was exhibited during the day as a showcase of exemplary undergraduate work – reflecting the topic of the day ‘Making Plants Work’.
