Associate Garden Designer Required
Aralia Garden Design is an award winning garden design business based in Hertfordshire and is currently enjoying a very successful year. As a result we are looking to grow our design team to help cope with the current demand. We have a very versatile team who are proactive and all work together to reach the goals set out. We are looking for an experienced, motivated and enthusiastic individual who can work as part of a team and would be available to start in January 2013. The Associate Designer will be reporting to the Design Director and will require the following skill set;
Mandatory skills
· Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook
· Competent in Vectorworks to enable 2D drawings to be carried out (Presentation Plans/Construction Details)
· Have a good understanding of the industry and the technical language associated with it
· Professional approach to dealing with suppliers and clients
· Ability to carry out site surveys and draw up onto Vectorworks
· Can import DWG files into Vectorworks (i.e. Surveys)
· Good knowledge of planting and ability to produce planting plans
· Technical understanding of landscaping construction
· Able to manage time and workload effectively
· Creative flair!
Advantageous Skills / Experience
· Have project management experience
· Have design and built projects in the past.
· Able to produce 3D drawings in Vectorworks
· Have a basic understanding of Adobe Photoshop
· Ability to produce costing’s/quotes for clients
