When Aralia was commissioned to design this country estate garden, the clients had only recently moved into the property and were in the process of planning a major extension to their new home. As part of the building renovations and extensions the clients were seeking a major re-design to the country estate garden which extends to circa 8 acres overall, with the creation of formal gardens, lawns and meadows. The primary task for the Aralia landscape design team was to bring a sense of unity across the whole of the country estate, whilst also providing a unique sense of style & function to each garden room.
The driveway was designed to transform into a lighter, more inviting space that incorporated an added wow factor which would befit the striking nature of the country estate. An existing terrace area was adapted into a social space that would link the inside and outside areas, created from a combination of traditional materials that were in keeping with the property, alongside contemporary elements that would provide a great visual contrast. Aralia focused on this complimentary contrasting, juxtaposing a woodland style space with more formal areas, in order to create a sense of journey that would continue throughout the garden and out into the wider country estate.
Aralia are providing a full Design & Build service for this landscape project, taking the project from concept through to full implementation of the whole masterplan. The project is currently pending planning approvals.
