Arrived at Gaucho City last Friday lunchtime, to discover whether our entry into ‘Best Memory Garden’ had been successful.  Never been to Gaucho City before and was surprised at quite how dark the restaurant was –  I guess the city type really enjoy all things dark and dirgy, but  for me it lacked warmth and I would have preferred somewhere a bit brighter. (Honestly how is a girl supposed to fix her lipstick, even in the ladies it’s too dark to see properly in the mirror!)  Had the pleasure of sitting with a great bunch of people including those from Gillespie’s, Antler Homes and The Express.  We all had a great time, and better still we ended up with a Gold Award for our first Dementia Garden (Park View Care Home, Ipswich).  Had a great catch up with Jo Thompson (fellow garden designer, we were almost neighbours doing our first RHS Chelsea gardens back in 2009)and plan to meet up soon, so we can finish up on all of the industry gossip and what we’ve both been up to.  Wonderful company, great food and a relaxed industry event, will definitely plan to be there again next year.
