Aralia is an award winning landscape design practice that creates innovative bespoke spaces. We are currently seeking to recruit 2 further designers (full time) to strengthen our design team.

                        2) Designer/Senior Designer / Landscape Architect

Assistant Landscape Designer/Landscape Architect

This role will support members of the team in the development of design packages and on-going technical drawing work. In addition the candidate will provide administrative support to the team, and be involved in marketing & social media for the company.  This role would suit a newly qualified designer who is eager to apply their learnt knowledge in a real environment.  A high level of professional in-house training will be provided and the opportunity to progress rapidly.

Skills Desired

–       Knowledge of Vectorworks (or AutoCad)

–       Knowledge of Sketch Up Or VW 3D advantageous

–       Knowledge of Photoshop & InDesign advantageous

–       Design skills and a willingness to learn & develop

–       Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) essential

–       Full clean UK driving licence

 

Designer/Senior Designer/Landscape Architect (flexible about level tbc candidate)

This role will report to the Design Director and would suit those with either a landscape design or landscape architecture background. Candidates should have a strong design background, good plant knowledge and strong construction knowledge.

In addition to the above skills the candidates should also have the following skills.

–       Highly proficient in VW (or AutoCad)

–       Highly proficient in Sketch Up or VW 3D

–       Highly proficient in Photoshop & InDesign

–       Strong creative design skills

–       Ability to produce detail drawings, sections & elevations on complex features

–       Understanding of materials and construction techniques

–       Experience of complex builds advantageous including practical experience

–       Costing knowledge for builds advantageous

–       Strong communication & organisation skills

–       Some contract administration & client service experience
