Designing for a small garden can often be extremely challenging. If space is of a premium, and there is a long wish list of features, the art in creating a small garden that works, is in ensuring that it doesn’t just end up looking like a mess! Small gardens can be as little as 20 square metres, but are often around the 80-120 square metre size. It is perfectly possible to incorporate a patio or deck, a lawn area and a play area into a small garden without compromising on the design, or functionality of the space.

If your site is relatively level (i.e. no big changes of levels) we do offer a ‘Sketch Plan’ service, which is a mini-version of our full blown garden design service. We come on site for half a day, during which time we survey your site, discuss the design brief with you, and prepare a simple garden design plan that we leave with you. Our fee for this service is currently £250, June 2007 (please ask for our current pricing).
